Catherine Henderson was eager to find a home among the hills and glens of northern Scotland, and got her wish when she spotted an advert for a converted stables.

Catherine Henderson's trip to a village in the Highlands turned out to be a date with destiny. Having spent just one afternoon admiring its pretty houses set against the stunning backdrop of hills and glens, she became smitten with the place "I'd been looking for a holiday home, and quizzed the locals about where to stay so that I might come back and start house hunting." she says.
